چکیده
Introduction. Improving treatments for tendon injuries remains a topical issue in biology and medicine. Tendon structure is predisposed to scar formation, with significant regions of dystrophy leading chronic recurrent tendinitis. Stem cell regenerative therapy including mesenchymal stromal secretome among promising improve patient outcomes. Standardized cytokine concentrations can be incorporated into the secretome, which may include both pro- anti-inflammatory cytokines. This article addresses use injury regeneration, poorly studied. Materials methods. The study included 95 white outbred rats (males, weight 120 g), were divided three groups: Group I comparison (n=35), II experimental III control (n=25). Animals Groups anesthetized isoflurane their calcaneal tendons dissected sutured. treated saline solution, whereas received secretome. wounds subsequently One week after manipulation, animals second treatment around tendon. withdrawn from experiment on days 1, 7, 14, 60. We analyzed samples using light microscopy morphometry transmission electron microscopy. Results. Treating (Group II) accompanied by less pronounced inflammation shows no dystrophic changes. collagen bundles regenerate are parallel each other, vasculature being normalized number fibroblasts having slight increase. samples, however, showed inflammation, dystrophy, scarring hypovascularization regenerate. Moreover, total fibroblast count tissue elevated significantly. was slightly thicker than III, while I, thinner III. Conclusion. Mesenchymal greatly contributes healing. Adult multipotent stromal cell technology for bone regeneration: a review.
Since the discovery of bone marrow derived stromal cell osteogenesis in the 1960s, tissue engineering with adult multipotent stromal cells (MSCs) has evolved as a promising approach to restore structure and function of bone compromised by injury or disease. To date, accelerated bone formation with MSCs has been demonstrated with a variety of tissue engineering strategies. Though MSC bone tissue...

SUMMARY: Multipotent mesenchymal stromal cells (MSC) are under consideration for the treatment of autoimmune disease (AD) based on their in vitro antiproliferative properties, efficacy in animal models, apparent low acute toxicity, and the early positive anecdotal outcomes in human acute graft versus host disease. Phase I/II clinical trials are under way in multiple sclerosis and Crohn's diseas...
متن کاملStarvation as an Initiator of Mesenchymal Stem Cell/Multipotent Stromal Cell Differentiation
Stem cells are considered key element in tissue replacement and regeneration after wounding, and in the same vein of thought, as cellular therapy for missing tissue and organs. While evidence is strong that endogenous MSCs do contribute to normal repair [1,2], their therapeutic implementation has been slowed by a number of issues. A key issue is the rapid destruction of the transplanted cells, ...

Tendon never restores the complete biological and mechanical properties after healing. Bone marrow and recently adipose tissue have been used as the sources of mesenchymal stem cells, which have been proven to enhance tendon healing. Stromal vascular fraction (SVF), derived from adipose tissue by an enzymatic digestion, represents an alternative source of multipotent cells, which undergo differ...
متن کاملMultipotent Mesenchymal Stromal Cells: Possible Culprits in Solid Tumors?
The clinical use of bone marrow derived multipotent mesenchymal stromal cells (BM-MSCs) in different settings ranging from tissue engineering to immunotherapies has prompted investigations on the properties of these cells in a variety of other tissues. Particularly the role of MSCs in solid tumors has been the subject of many experimental approaches. While a clear phenotypical distinction of tu...
